Our 2017 Steak Send-off has begun.

We have begun taking orders for 2017.  

Here’s how it works:

Each order of six sandwiches – precooked, frozen, packaged in dry ice in heavy-duty reusable coolers and complete with reheating instructions – can be sent anywhere in the United States. (Prices higher to Alaska and Hawaii).
 Unfortunately, customs regulations prohibit shipments to foreign countries.
All of the sandwich ingredients are packaged separately including six 88% lean beef patties, sweet Spanish onions, crunchy pickles, tasty secret-recipe sauce, and toasted Italian buns.
Orders can be placed at richardspizza.com or in person at any Richards Pizza location. Because of new credit card regulations, we cannot take orders over the phone.

To avoid shipping problems with perishable products during the holiday season, we take orders each year during the holiday season and ship the sandwiches in January. This year the sandwiches will be shipped January 10 to arrive on or before January 12. In December we send each recipient an acknowledgment card and free gift from Richards. If you would like to send a message to the recipient, the gift card message will be included on the acknowledgment card. All orders placed before the deadline of December 11th will have the card and gift arrive before Christmas Day. The final order deadline is December 31.

We cannot ship steak sandwiches throughout the rest of the year for several reasons, Obtaining dry ice in Cincinnati one order at a time is very costly, and also we do not receive the substantial shipping discount that we do when shipping the large number of packages in January.

 Steak Sandwiches Packed to Go!

Anytime throughout the year, Richards can package the steak sandwiches like we do for the Steak Send Off and have them ready to take with you when traveling out of town.

Call any Richards Pizza location at least 24 hours before you would like to pick up your frozen sandwiches.  We will have them precooked, packed separately, frozen, with reheating instructions and ready for you to pick up and pack in your cooler.  We recommend keeping them frozen until you arrive at your destination.

You can order any number of sandwiches that you wish and any way you like them prepared.  We give you extra cups of sauce for reheating. Toppings such as pickles, onions, banana peppers, etc. will be packaged separately.

Shipping Steak Sandwiches Throughout the Year!

However, if you would like to arrange shipping and dry ice, we can help you.

We recommend using a pack and ship company who will prepare the paperwork necessary to use dry ice.  If you choose to ship them yourselves, the following are some guidelines:

  1. Call us at least 24 hours in advance and we can have the sandwiches ready to ship – packed separately, frozen and with reheating instructions.
  2. We can sell you one of our packaging coolers for $5.00.  Just let us know how many you need.
  3. These special boxes fit a maximum of 6 sandwiches per box.
  4. The weight of the dry ice that works well in these special boxes is 5 pounds.
  5. You must ship overnight in warmer months but can do two day shipping during cold months.

Contact the delivery company for any additional regulations or rules.  The United States Postal Service may not be able to ship with dry ice so it is best to ask what is required before placing the order for the sandwiches.

We know that our steak sandwiches are craved around the world and we hope that this information helps get them to our out of town fans!
